FAQ
Questions, answered
The practical stuff — what Anookz does, how it connects, what it costs, and how your data is handled.
Product
What is Anookz, in one line?
The operations platform for an independent shop: your catalogue, stock, purchase orders, transfers, till and bills in one place on top of the POS you already run — plus a living floor map and an AI daily action plan.
Who is it for?
Independent retailers who want the intelligence big chains have, and the wholesalers who supply them. Retailers get the map, the plan and direct ordering; suppliers publish a live catalogue and see real sell-through by store and shelf.
Do I need cameras or special hardware?
No. Anookz works with the tools you already run. Foot-traffic features light up if you have a counter like Bellwether, but the floor map, ordering and product hub work without any new hardware.
Is there really an AI daily plan?
Yes. Anookz reads your sales, foot traffic and stock together and produces a short, dollar-ranked list of the highest-value moves each day — what to move, reorder or discount, and what each is worth.
Onboarding & integrations
How long does setup take?
Most stores are live in minutes. You connect your POS, draw or import your floor, and your catalogue and sales flow in automatically — nothing to migrate, nothing to re-type.
Which tools does Anookz connect?
Lightspeed (X-Series) for sales and catalogue, Bellwether for foot traffic, Airtable for product locations, and Shopify for online ranges. Connected supplier catalogues flow straight into your Product Hub.
Will it create products for me?
Yes. When you connect a POS or a supplier catalogue, products arrive complete — images, pricing and variants — so you never manually re-create a product. Receiving an order updates stock automatically.
Can my team use it too?
Yes, and users are never charged for. Invite as many team members as you need, each with the right access, all working from the same live data.
Pricing
How much does it cost?
There are no plans and no tiers — every account gets the whole platform. A retailer pays NZ$149 per shop and NZ$99 per dedicated warehouse. A supplier pays from NZ$99 a month, which covers their first 10 active retail connections and their first site. Both start with six weeks free. See full pricing.
What's included?
Everything. There is no feature held back for a higher tier: POS and foot-traffic sync, the Product Hub, Stock Control, the live floor map and heatmap, Intel, Nook AI, Studio, the Discover marketplace, wholesale ordering, and a monthly AI allowance. Users, registers and devices are never charged for, however many you have.
Do you take a percentage of my orders?
No. Creating and managing orders is free, whoever introduced you. Anookz only takes a share of money it actually settles — 0.5% + 20c on a wholesale payment; 0.5% + 10c on a card payment at the till, on top of Stripe's processing fee which is passed through at cost. Paid by bank transfer or on terms? That is free. Refunds reverse the fee proportionally.
Data & security
Who owns my data?
You do. Your sales, product and store data remain yours — Anookz is the system that connects and presents it. You can export it, and you can leave with it.
Do my suppliers see everything?
No. A connected supplier only sees sell-through for their own products in your store — never your total sales, margins or other suppliers' performance. You control who is connected.
How is my data protected?
Data is encrypted in transit and at rest, hosted with reputable cloud infrastructure, and access is scoped per account and per store. We collect only what the product needs to work.
What happens to my data if I cancel?
You keep access until the end of the period you have paid for, then the account becomes read-only. Your data is kept for 90 days so you can export it or reactivate, and we send reminders before anything is deleted.
